KLIA Aeropolis
The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is one of Malaysia's most iconic landmarks. Since it started operations in 1998, it has become a gateway to the world, serving millions of passengers.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport Aeropolis, also known as Airport City, consists of two terminals; the original KLIA Main Terminal (KLIA or KLIA1) and the Low Cost Carrier Terminal (KLIA2 / LCCT). The masterplan for KLIA involves a third terminal, KLIA3, also adding 1 or 2 additional runways to the site.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport is located in Sepang, approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur city centre. It is Malaysia's main international airport and one of the major airports in Southeast Asia and worldwide. It is the largest and busiest airport in Malaysia. In 2018, it handled 59,988,409 passengers, 714,669 tones of cargo and 399,827 aircraft movements. It is the world's 23rd-busiest airport by total passenger traffic.
How to claim this Virtual Cache?
Whether you are visiting KLIA to do some plane-spotting or a traveller passing through for business or pleasure, a log from anywhere within KLIA Aeropolis (KLIA or KLIA2), will be happily accepted!
Compulsory logging tasks;
- Share at least 1 photo that clearly identifies you've been on location; a selfie (optional), a photo of your personal trackable (love to discover it), luggage tags or receipts, ...anything goes! You can be creative; an aerial view of the airport, a picture with the interactive map on the plane, outside near the watchtower, ... whatever works! I only ask that you ensure your identity and location can be recognised! (PM accepted if you have privacy concerns)
- In your log; A) Mention your point of origin. B) Mention your carrier. C) Describe your journey; how was your flight? D) At which terminal did you arrive? E) What is your opinion on the airport?
Please, no generic one-liners, no preformatted one-size-fits-all logs, or string of stop-words!
The logging tasks are there for a reason. If don't care about your log, neither will I.
