Geocache Description:

Cardiff Castle is one of Wales’ leading heritage attractions and a site of international significance. Located within beautiful parklands at the heart of the capital. At once a Roman fort, Norman stronghold and Victorian Gothic masterpiece, Cardiff Castle’s walls and fairy-tale towers conceal 2,000 years of history. The co-ordinance will take you to the front gate of the castle. To claim the find you must log a photograph of yourself at the location or a personal item such as a piece of paper with your geocaching name on it, I will accept photographs a bit further along the castle wall if they are decorated for a special event. Fun Fact, with your back to the castle look to your right and down the road 200m. Can you see the corner building by the traffic lights? during renovation of the hotels basement a secret tunnel was found running from the castle to the hotel, once the home of the De Claire family. This Virtual Cache is part of a limited release of Virtuals created between June 4, 2019 and June 4, 2020. Only 4,000 cache owners were given the opportunity to hide a Virtual Cache.
