The Dome at Victoria Square

This cache cannot be logged as found if the Dome is closed. Please see details below
Rising high above the city's skyline, the Dome at Victoria Square boasts fantastic 360 degree views across Belfast.
The viewing platform is on the top level and from here you should be able to spot various landmarks such as the Harland and Wolff cranes, the Albert Memorial Clock, the Waterfront Hall, the SSE Arena, Belfast Castle, Stormont, and Scrabo Tower.
Victoria Square is a premium commercial, residential and leisure development in Belfast developed and built by Multi Development UK over 6 years. At approximately 800,000 square feet (74,000 m2) and costing £400m, it is the biggest and one of the most expensive property developments ever undertaken in Northern Ireland. It opened on 6 March 2008.
The area includes over 70 international and local brands, restaurants and an 8 screen Odeon cinema. A key element in the development is two covered, multi-level streets linked to the massive glass dome measuring 35 m in diameter. A public square covered entirely by the glass dome serves as the hub of the entire area.
At the Victoria Street entrance you can find the ornate Jaffe Fountain, constructed in the 1870s by former Lord Mayor Otto Jaffe in memory of his father.

Access and Useful Information
Q-Park provides 2 levels of basement car parking with around 1,000 spaces. This can be accessed via Victoria Street.
Admission to the Dome is free and the opening times are as follows:
Monday- Saturday 10am - 6pm
Sunday 1pm - 6pm
To access the Dome, you can take the glass elevator at the centre of Victoria Square to the top level. Alternatively you can go up the escalators and then climb the spiral staircase to the top level.
There are free tours that run each day, hourly from 10am to 4pm.
To Log the Cache
After enjoying the view from the platform, pick one of your favourite Belfast landmarks. Take a photo of yourself pointing out the landmark from the viewing platform or creatively posing in front of it and upload with your log entry. (Your face does not need to be in the photo- a hand or object will be fine!)
If you are unable to access the platform on your visit, feel free to leave a log as "write note". Logs recorded as "found" that don't meet the criteria above will be automatically deleted.
It seems that during the hot weather the dome may be closed more frequently for safety reasons due to high temperatures.
I realise this can be frustrating when trying to log this cache. Unfortunately I cannot accept logs as "found" when posing by "dome closed" sign as this does not meet the criteria as detailed in the cache description. In this situation please log as "write note"
I know this can be disappointing but by allowing these logs it would devalue the integrity of the cache and efforts of previous finders who have logged the cache.
I would compare it to not being able to find a physical cache despite being in the correct location.
Unfortunately I will have to delete logs which are recording this cache as "found" when not accessing the platform. I take no pleasure in doing this as I appreciate the effort in visiting the location and writing logs. So please record these logs as "write note" to avoid disappointment.
