Polarsirkelen

Polarsirkelen skjærer seg gjennom Nordland og setter grensen for det arktiske riket med midnattssol og mørketid. Den nordlige Polarsirkelen, som krysser Helgeland, markerer grensen for Arktis, mens den sydlige markerer grensen for Antarktis.

Internasjonalt går den nordlige Polarsirkelen gjennom Norge, Sverige, Finland, Russland, Alaska, Canada, Grønland og Island. Den sydlige Polarsirkelen går hovedsakelig over hav eller nær bredden av det antarktiske kontinentet.I det man kommer nord for polarsirkelen vil man kunne oppleve de to unike naturfenomenene som Nord-Norge er så kjent for; Midnattsol og Nordlys.

The Arctic Circle cuts through Nordland and sets the boundary for the Arctic Empire with midnight sun and darkness. The northern Arctic Circle, which crosses Helgeland, marks the border of the Arctic, while the south marks the border of the Antarctic.

Internationally, the Northern Arctic Circle passes through Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Alaska, Canada, Greenland and Iceland. The southern Arctic Circle mainly extends over the sea or near the shores of the Antarctic continent. In coming north of the Arctic Circle you will be able to experience the two unique natural phenomena that Northern Norway is so famous for; Midnight sun and Northern Lights.
