ENG
Oslo Airport is Norway's main airport, which opened in 1998. The terminal has later been expanded, but there's an ongoing debate about adding a third runway.

Prior to the 1998, the airport served as a charter airport, with Oslo Airport Fornebu being the main airport for regular flights. Gardermoen airport also had a long history of being a military airport, prior to, and in parallel with being a charter airport. During the transition between charter airport and main airport, a new runway was added, and a new terminal building and tower was built. High speed train tracks were built, as well as a highway going all the way up to the airport. The new train tracks took a lot of load off the old tracks between Oslo and Trondheim, now serving all the long distance trains, plus a local route. The old tracks are now only serving local and cargo trains. Fornebu airport was shut down, and turned into an IT-business hub, apartments, and home to the Telenor Arena.

Chances are that you are logging this cache because you are passing through. If you are just "stopping by", it is easy to get to this cache with public transport, bus or train. Cars can park for free up to 7 minutes on the departure level, and it should, in theory, be possible to take this cache without paying for parking. Do not take this for granted, though.

We have sadly not found much information about the statue itself, but found it to be a nice landmark for the airport itself.
