Le Grand Bé est une île inhabitée de Saint-Malo située à l'embouchure de la Rance, au pied des remparts de Saint-Malo.
Le mot Be signifie "tombe" en breton. D'ailleurs le Grand Bé abrite le tombeau du célèbre écrivain malouin François-René de Chateaubriand. L'île est accessible à pied lorsque la marée est basse.
Sur le Grand Bé, vous pouvez observer le tombeau de Chateaubriand qui fait face à la mer. Vous pouvez également admirer beau panorama inoubliable sur la cité corsaire, mais également sur le fort du Petit Bé et sur la Côte d’Émeraude.
Cette île face à l'océan est un véritable havre de paix, on y écoute le bruit du vent et de la mer. Un site spectaculaire qui vous assure un dépaysement total. Pour vous y rendre, consultez au préalable les horaires des marées.

Grand Bé is an uninhabited island in Saint-Malo located at the mouth of the Rance River, at the foot of the ramparts of Saint-Malo.
The word Be means “grave” in Breton. Grand Bé is home to the tomb of the famous Saint-Malo writer François-René de Chateaubriand. The island is accessible on foot at low tide.
On Grand Bé, you can see Chateaubriand's tomb facing the sea. You can also admire the unforgettable panorama of the pirate city, as well as the Petit Bé fort and the Emerald Coast.
This island facing the ocean is a true haven of peace, where you can listen to the sound of the wind and the sea. It is a spectacular site that offers a complete change of scenery. To get there, check the tide times in advance.
