Os Miradouros da Serra do Cume localizam-se no topo do complexo desmantelado da Serra do Cume, no concelho da Praia da Vitória, na ilha Terceira, nos Açores.
De elevado interesse paisagístico, oferecem uma das mais belas paisagens da ilha: de um lado, a 542 metros acima do nível do mar, a baía e cidade da Praia da Vitória conjuntamente com a planície das Lajes e a Base Aérea das Lajes e, pelo outro, a 545 metros acima do nível do mar, a grande planície do interior da ilha, com os seus típicos "cerrados", separados por muros de pedra vulcânica e hortênsias.
Os miradouros foram inaugurados a 2 de agosto de 2008 pelo então Secretário Regional da Habitação e Equipamentos, José António V. Silva Contente e pelo então presidente da Câmara Municipal da Praia da Vitória, Roberto Lúcio Silva Pereira Monteiro.

The Serra do Cume Viewpoints are located at the top of the dismantled complex of Serra do Cume, in Praia da Vitória county, on Terceira Island, in the Azores.
Of high scenic interest, they offer one of the most beautiful landscapes on the island: on one side, at 542 meters above sea level, the Praia da Vitória city and bay together with the plain of Lajes and the Lajes Air Base, and on the other, at 545 meters above sea level, the great island lowland, with it´s typical "cerrados", separated by volcanic stone walls and hydrangeas.
The viewpoints were inaugurated on August 2, 2008 by the then Regional Secretary for Housing and Equipment, José António V. Silva Contente and the then Mayor of Praia da Vitória, Roberto Lúcio Silva Pereira Monteiro.

Os Miradouros da Serra do Cume são dos locais mais procurados por quem visita a ilha Terceira, sendo que são considerados dos mais bonitos do país.
Sempre presente em todos os guias turísticos da ilha, a vista para a chamada "Manta de retalhos" não deixa ninguém indiferente.

The Serra do Cume Viewpoints are one of the most popular places for visitors, and are considered to be one of the most beautiful in the country.
Always present in all Terceira Island tourist guides, the view of the so-called "Patchwork" leaves no one indifferent.

Para registar esta cache virtual, deverá tirar duas fotografias, uma em cada miradouro, em que, na Etapa Virtual 1 apareça obrigatoriamente o Painel Informativo "Geopaisagens do Geoparque Açores", e na Etapa Virtual 2 a placa alusiva à inauguração dos Miradouros.
Fica ao seu critério, aparecer ou não nas fotografias. No entanto, deverá comprovar que as fotos foram tiradas aquando da publicação da cache, pelo que nas mesmas deverão aparecer algum elemento que o identifique como geocacher, como por exemplo o seu GPS, algum trackable ou até mesmo um papel com o seu nickname ou com o GC da cache escrito.

To register this virtual cache, you must take two photographs, one in each viewpoint, on which, have to appear in Virtual Stage 1, the Information Panel "Geolandscapes of the Azores Geopark" and in Virtual Stage 2 the plaque alluding to the opening of the viewpoints.
It's up to you whether or not to appear in the photographs. However, you must prove that the photos were taken when the cache was published, so there should appear some element that identifies you as a geocacher, such as your GPS, some trackable or even a paper with your nickname or the GC from the cache written on it.
