Kojamo
Kuvataiteilijat Pekka ja Teija Isorättyä voittivat Tornion kaupungin järjestämän veistoskilpailun teoksellaan ”Kojamo”. Suurta uroslohta kuvaava veistos on saanut inspiraationsa Torniojokilaakson tarinoista ja vapaana virtaavana lohijoesta.
Kutemaan nouseva uroslohi eli kojamo symbolisoi vapaana virtaavaa Tornionjokea ja alueen pitkiä lohenkalastusperinteitä. Teräsrenkaista koostuva, hopeisena hohtava ja ympäristöään hienosti peilaava jättiläismäinen kala paljastettiin 12.5.2021 Tornion kaupungin 400-vuotisjuhlapäivänä.

Visual artists Pekka and Teija Isorättyä won a sculpture competition organized by the City of Tornio for their work “Kojamo”. The sculpture depicting a large male salmon is inspired by the stories of the Tornio River Valley and the free-flowing salmon river.
The spawning male salmon, or kojamo, symbolizes the free-flowing Tornio River and the region's long salmon fishing traditions. A giant fish made of steel rings, shining in silver and reflecting its surroundings nicely, was unveiled on 12.5.2021 on the 400th anniversary of the city of Tornio.
Task
Attach a picture of yourself (your face doesn't need to be visible), your name tag, or any other item you own with Kojamo. When taking a picture, you can use your imagination as long as it shows part of Kojamo.
