Sapo é o nome comum para um grupo de animais anfíbios que passam por metamorfoses durante a vida, entre eles há ainda as rãs e pererecas.
As fêmeas põem ovos na água, após eclodirem, são denominados de girinos, nessa fase, são como os peixes, aquáticos vivem completamente dentro da água, respiram por brânquias, têm cauda e não possuem membros.
Com o passar do tempo, na metamorfose para a vida adulta, primeiro aparecem os membros traseiros, a cauda diminui de tamanho, em seguida os membros anteriores se desenvolvem, a cauda encolhe completamente, os pulmões também passam a funcionar, trocando a respiração branquial pela pulmonar.
Na fase adulta, vivem próximo à água, dela são dependentes, pois fazem respiração cutânea, seus pulmões não suprem a oxigenação necessária, talvez pela metamorfose não ser completa nos pulmões.
Por todo mundo existem milhares de espécies destes anfíbios metamórficos.
No ano 2000, uma nova mutação ocorreu, após o crescimento dos membros anteriores, talvez devido os sinais de satélite que naquele ano, melhoraram a precisão dos aparelhos de GPS, apareceu uma nova espécie, com um antena na cabeça receptora de sinais de GPS.
Esse tipo Sapo logo recebeu o nome de SIGNAL, misteriosamente, se alastrou por todo mundo, desde as montanhas mais altas, até no fundo do mar, nos polos, nas florestas e nas cidades.
Alguns poucos países tiveram espécies nativas, entre eles EUA, Canadá, Alemanha.
