Geocache Description:

Bildet må legges inn i loggen.

* Logger uten bilde blir dessverre slettet

This is a virtual geocache, so there is no physical logbook to sign. Read the instructions for what needs to be done to log it.

The Queen's Bastion is both Fredriksten's official place where gun-salutes are fired on ceremonious occasions, and where the Norwegian flag is hoisted every day. This is also a great spot if you want a fantastic view of beautiful Halden and Iddefjorden. In addition to the cannons and a flagpole, there is a memorial stone over Major General Hans Jacob Brun here. He was commander of the fortress during Charles XII's first attack in 1716.

The Norwegian flag flies here, and in order to log this cache I also want you to show a flag that matters to you.

To log this virtual geocache, I want you to take a picture of yourself with a flag in your hand here at the Queens Bastion. The cannons or the view of the town must show in the background. The photo must be uploaded with the log.

* You as a logger must be in the picture, but can hide your face if you wish.

* Which flag and type of flag to use, you decide yourself, so if you don't have a classic national flag on a stick, you can draw, paint, knit or make a flag in some other way. All flags are accepted, so feel free to use the flag of your favorite sports club, your municipality, a rainbow flag, a pirate flag or any other flag you like. (Pictures without flags are also ok)

* Logs without a picture will unfortunately be deleted
