The cache is located in the Petawawa Research Forest. A short hike along wood chip covered trails but the last 30 metres is through underbrush.
The Petawawa Research Forest is located on Highway 17, 12 kilometres west of Petawawa, and 4
kilometres east of Chalk River. This is where the highway crosses over the Chalk River. There is a visitors centre, which is open from June to September. Visit the treehouse, then head off on the trail to the cache.
The cache is in a small ammo box, which is about 30 metres off the trail and partially covered with forest litter. The last 30m would be tough for small children. When hidden, the cache contained a rain poncho, magnifying glass, Garfield cards, glow stick, safety blinker, dinosaur, bag of balloons, bag of marbles and a bag of odds and ends. There is a logbook to sign.
