This virtual cache brings you to a old schoolhouse in Waterloo Park. This schoolhouse was built in 1820 on land donated by Abraham Erb. This is one of the oldest remaining log schoolhouse in Ontario. I could tell you more about it but that would take the fun out of you going to visit the schoolhouse and learn about it yourself! 😉

In order to log this virtual cache, you must complete five tasks:
1. Where was the original location of this school?
2. After the school became too small it became the home of a former slave and his family. What was his name and what year did this family stop living in this old schoolhouse?
3. What year was this schoolhouse moved into Waterloo park?
4. With your online log, post a picture of yourself with the schoolhouse in the background, taken at this visit (As per the guidelines, it's not necessary to show your face. If you prefer you could also take a picture with you clearly pointing at the schoolhouse or giving a thumbs up! If you have a trackable or geo-item you wish to include in the photo that's great!)
