Olavinlinna on 1400-luvulla rakennettu linna, joka sijaitsee Savonlinnassa veden ympäröimässä kalliosaaressa Haukiveden ja Pihlajaveden yhdistävässä Kyrönsalmessa. Linnasta on aikaisemmin käytetty myös nimiä Savon linna ja Uusilinna (ruots. Nyslott, joka on edelleen Savonlinnan kaupungin nimi ruotsiksi).

Alunperin päälinnaan rakennettiin kolme tornia. Myöhemmin niitä oli linnassa enimmillään viisi. Linna edusti pyöreine torneineen aikansa parasta puolustusteknologiaa. Linnan rakennustöiden myötä sen ympärille kasvoi kaupunki: Savonlinna sai kaupunkioikeudet vuonna 1639.

Nykyään linnassa on kolme tornia: kirkkotorni, kellotorni ja Kijlin torni. Myös Pyhän Eerikin tornin rauniot ovat yhä nähtävissä, mutta viides torni, Paksu torni, räjähti ruutionnettomuudessa 1791.

Olavinlinna is a 15th-century three-tower castle located in Savonlinna, Finland. It is the northernmost medieval stone fortress still standing. The castle is built on an island in the Kyrönsalmi strait that connects the lakes Haukivesi and Pihlajavesi. With the construction of the castle, the city grew around the castle: Savonlinna received the rights of the city in 1639.

Olavinlinna is a popular tourist destination throughout the year. It is possible to get to see the castle, its halls, rooms and towers on a guided tour. The tour takes approximately an hour. The castle houses two small museums and three courtyards which can be visited without a guide when the castle is open. However, there are some restrictions visiting the castle from April till September.
