Het gebouw Mulle de Terschueren is een beschermd monument en werd genoemd naar de vroegere bewoners, de familie Mulle de Terschueren. In 1824 bouwde de Tieltse edelman Emile-Paul Mulle de Terschueren een kopie van zijn Gentse ouderlijke woning met bijhorend koetshuis. De 19de eeuw kende een belangrijke toename van imposante herenhuizen in de Ieperstraat, terwijl kapitaal en aanzien zich in de 17de en 18de eeuw concentreerden op de Markt en in de Kortrijkstraat.
Het huis kent een neo-classicistische stijl.
De oorspronkelijke tuin werd heringericht als een stadspark in de jaren 1980. Het huis zelf is momenteel stadseigendom en is toegankelijk voor het publiek.
Momenteel doet het gebouw dienst als vergaderaccommodatie en de trouwzaal van het burgerlijk huwelijk bevindt zich op de gelijkvloerse verdieping. Het stemmige witte koetshuis herbergt de Belevingsruimte 'Tielt in WO I' (dit kan gratis bezocht worden op woensdag en zondag tussen 14u en 17u).
Opdracht:
- Neem een foto van uzelf, of gps, of duim met het huis Mulle de Terschueren op de achtergrond. Het is niet verplicht herkenbaar op de foto te staan, maar het zou wel leuk zijn.
- Als je nu met uw rug naar het huis staat zie je aan uw rechterkant een pad. Volg dit pad, telkens bij een splitsing hou je links aan. Zo maak je een kleine wandeling rond dit mooie park, tot je terug aankomt bij het huis Mulle de Terschueren. Tel telkens de oneven 4-cijferige getallen met elkaar op van de lantaarnpalen die je tegenkomt langs uw wandeling.
Om deze Virtual als found te loggen, ga je als volgt te werk:
Plaats het gevonden getal in volgend emailadres: ……….@telenet.be
Stuur een email naar dit adres. Als het gevonden getal correct is, ontvang je automatisch een email dat u mag loggen (check ook zeker uw spamfolder), en voeg uiteraard de genomen foto toe aan uw log!

The Mulle de Terschueren building is a protected monument and was named after the former residents, the Mulle de Terschueren family. In 1824, the nobleman from Tielt Emile-Paul Mulle de Terschueren built a copy of his Ghent parental home with accompanying coach house. The 19th century saw a significant increase in imposing mansions in the Ieperstraat, while capital and prestige in the 17th and 18th centuries concentrated on the Market and in the Kortrijkstraat.
The house has a neo-classical style.
The original garden was redesigned as a city park in the 1980s. The house itself is currently city property and is open to the public.
The building currently serves as meeting accommodation and the wedding room of the civil wedding is on the ground floor. The atmospheric white coach house houses the 'Tielt in WO I' experience space (this can be visited free of charge on Wednesday and Sunday between 2 pm and 5 pm).
Assignment:
- Take a photo of yourself, or GPS, or thumb with the house Mulle de Terschueren in the background. It is not mandatory to be recognizable in the photo, but it would be nice.
- If you now stand with your back to the house, you will see a path on your right. Follow this path, always keep left at a fork. This way you can take a little walk around this beautiful park, until you arrive back at the Mulle de Terschueren house. Add up the odd 4-digit numbers of the lighting poles that you encounter along your walk.
