14 września 1309 roku wielki mistrz Zakonu Siegfried von Feuchtwangen przeniósł do Malborka swój urząd. Zamek awansował do roli stolicy jednego z najpotężniejszych państw na południowym wybrzeżu Bałtyku. Rychło okazało się, że w swojej dotychczasowej postaci nie może on spełniać nowych funkcji.

Trwająca blisko czterdzieści lat rozbudowa przekształciła dom konwentualny w silnie umocniony Zamek Wysoki. Otoczony głębokimi fosami i kilkoma pierścieniami murów obronnych zawierał szereg reprezentacyjnych pomieszczeń. M.in.: kościół Najświętszej Marii Panny powiększony o nowe prezbiterium i położoną pod nim kaplicę św. Anny – miejsce pochówków wielkich mistrzów. Dawne podzamcze także uległo rozbudowie, stając się obszernym i funkcjonalnym Zamkiem Średnim dostępnym dla rycerzy – gości z Europy Zachodniej.

Oprócz pomieszczeń mieszkalnych, znajdował się tu Wielki Refektarz – największą salą na zamku, przykrytą pięknym sklepieniem palmowym, Infirmeria dla starszych i chorych braci oraz Pałac Wielkich Mistrzów.

W XIV i pierwszej połowie XV wieku założono i rozbudowano trzecią część warowni - Zamek Niski zwany odtąd Przedzamczem. Umieszczono tu m.in. Karwan – wielką zbrojownię na działa i wozy bojowe, spichlerz nad brzegiem Nogatu oraz szereg budynków gospodarczych (ludwisarnię, stajnie, browar, etc). Przy jednym z nich znajdowała się kaplica św. Wawrzyńca, przeznaczona dla służby zamkowej. Całość otaczały fosy i mury obronne z licznymi wieżami, połączone z umocnieniami miasta Malborka.

Powiedzieć o Zamku w Malborku, że to miejsce warte zobaczenia z bogatą historią, to jak nic nie powiedzieć. Był stolicą Państwa Zakonnego, siedzibą wielkich mistrzów zakonu krzyżackiego oraz w latach 1457-1772 rezydencją królów Polski. Dokładne, powolne zwiedzenie wszystkich jego zakamarków może zająć nawet 5 godzin. Jest to miejsce wyjątkowe, pełne historii, których nie sposób streścić w tym krótkim listingu. Nie miałoby to też o tyle sensu, że zamek ten to miejsce w którym możemy doświadczyć jego historii, a nie jedynie się o niej dowiedzieć. W 1997 został wpisany na listę światowego dziedzictwa UNESCO. To wyjątkowe miejsce jest największym zamkiem na świecie pod względem zajmowanego obszaru. W 2007 został uznany za jeden z siedmiu cudów Polski.

Nie zabiorę Was na spacer po tym zamku, ponieważ uważam, że przewodnik lub audioprzewodnik (który jest obowiązkowy przy wejściu na zamek) zrobi to dużo lepiej i ciekawiej niż ja. Prócz najważniejszych elementów zamku, których nie sposób przeoczyć chociażby na tych wszystkich zdjęciach, ja będę chciał sprawdzić czy zwracacie uwagę na detale oraz motywy zwierząt i bestii oraz demonów, które świetnie się wkomponowują w gotycki styl tego miejsca.

Zamek jest czynny w określonych godzinach - co potrafi być zmienne w zależności od sezonu. Wejście na zamek jest płatne. Dokładne informacje można znaleźć na zamkowej stronie. Do wykonania minimum zadania wystarczy trasa zielona (koszt 30zł), jednak polecana jest pełna trasa historyczna. W poniedziałki wejście na zamek to koszt jedynie przewodnika - 10zł, jednak wtedy trasa historyczna nie jest w pełni dostępna. Przed wybraniem się na zwiedzanie sprawdź koniecznie stronę internetową zamku, ponieważ dostępność tras jest różna.

Współrzędne virtuala wskazują na posągi 4 wielkich mistrzów. Odnajdź je i odpowiedz na poniższe pytania:

• Jeden z tych posągów jest ustawiony w zupełnie inną stronę niż reszta. Którego z mistrzów on przedstawia?

The beasts of the Malbork Castle

The cache is located inside the castle, which is not open all the time, and an entrance fee has to be paid.

On September 14th 1309, Grand Master Siegfried von Feuchtwangen moved his office to Malbork. The castle was promoted to the status of being the capital of one of the most powerful states on the southern coast of the Baltic. It soon became apparent that it could not fulfil its new functions in its current form.

The nearly forty-year-long expansion transformed a convent house into a strongly fortified High Castle. Surrounded by deep moats and several rings of defensive walls, it housed several representative rooms. Among these are: the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, enlarged by a new chancel, and St. Ann’s chapel beneath it – the burial site for the Grand Masters. The old settlement outside the outer walls was also expanded, becoming a spacious and functional Middle Castle available to knights – guests from Western Europe.

Apart from living quarters, the Grand Refectory – the largest hall in the castle – was also located here. It was topped with a beautiful fan vault. There was also an Infirmary for the older and sicker brothers, as well as the Palace of the Grand Masters.

In the 14th and first half of the 15th century, a third part of the stronghold was established and expanded respectively – the Low Castle, known later as the Outer Castle. Among other buildings, the Karwan – a large armoury for cannons and war carts, a granary on the shore of the Nogat river, as well as a number of outbuildings (a founder’s workshop, the stables, brewery, etc.) were all located there. St. Lawrence’s chapel, intended for the castle’s servants, is located next to one of them. The whole complex was surrounded by moats and defensive walls with countless towers, connected with the fortifications of the city of Malbork.

To say about Malbork Castle that this place with a rich history is worth seeing is like saying nothing. It was the capital of the Teutonic Order, the residence of the Grand Masters and in the years 1457-1772 the residence of the Polish kings. A thorough, slow tour of all its nooks and crannies can take up to 5 hours. It is a unique place, full of stories that cannot be summarized in this short listing. It would also make no sense that this castle is a place where we can experience its history, not just learn about it. In 1997 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This unique place is the largest castle in the world in terms of occupied area. In 2007 it was considered as one of the seven wonders of Poland.

I will not take you for a walk in this castle, because I think that a guide or audio guide (which is obligatory at the entrance to the castle) will do it much better and more interesting than me. Apart from the most important elements of the castle, which cannot be overlooked even in all these pictures, I will want to check if you pay attention to the details and themes of animals and beasts and demons, which perfectly fit into the gothic style of this place.

The castle is open at specific times - which can vary depending on the season. The entrance to the castle is payable. Detailed information can be found on the castle's website. The green route is sufficient to complete the minimum task (cost 30 PLN), but the full historical route is recommended. On Mondays the entrance to the castle is only a guide's fee - 10zł, but then the historical route is not fully available. Die Bestien von Malbork Castle

Der Cache befindet sich im Schloss, das nicht immer geöffnet ist, und es muss eine Eintrittsgebühr bezahlt werden.

Am 14. September 1309 verlegte der damalige Hochmeister Siegfried von Feuchtwangen seinen Sitz nach Marienburg. Die Marienburg erwuchs zur Hauptstadt eines der mächtigsten Staaten an der Südküste der Ostsee. Bald jedoch sollte es sich erweisen, dass die Burg den neuen Aufgaben nicht mehr gewachsen war.

Fast vierzig Jahre dauerte der Ausbau, demzufolge das Konventshaus in das stark befestigte Hochschloss verwandelt wurde. Das Hochschloss umgaben tiefe Burggräben und mehrere ringförmig angeordnete Burgmauern, doch beherbergte es auch eine Reihe von prunkvollen Repräsentationssälen und -bauten. So auch die Liebfrauenkirche mit dem neuen größeren Presbyterium und unterhalb ihrer die Annenkapelle, in der Hochmeister beigesetzt wurden. Der ehemalige Burghof wurde unterdessen erweitert und zum Mittelschloss ausgebaut, welches Rittern gastlich zur Verfügung stand, die aus Westeuropa anreisten.

Außer Wohngemächern befand sich dort auch der Große Remter, der größte Saal des Schlosses, den ein Strahlengewölbe zierte, darüber hinaus eine Infirmeria (Krankenstube) für betagte und kranke Fratres sowie der Palast der Hochmeister.

Im 14. und in der ersten Hälfte des 15. Jahrhunderts wurde ein dritter Teil der Festung eingerichtet und ausgebaut, das Unterschloss, das seither Vorburg genannt wurde. Dort hatten der Karwan, d.h. ein großes Zeughaus für Kanonen und Streitwagen, ein Speicher an der Nogat und eine Reihe von Wirtschaftsbauten (eine Glockengießerei, Pferdeställe, eine Brauerei usw.) ihren Platz. In der Nähe einer dieser Baulichkeiten befand sich die Laurentiuskapelle, die für Bedienstete des Schlosses bestimmt war. Um das gesamte Burggelände herum wurden Ringgräben gezogen und reichlich turmbewehrte Burgmauern errichtet.

Sagen, dass das Schloss in Malbork ein sehenswerter Ort mit einer reichen Geschichte ist, ist so gut wie nichts sagen. Es war die Hauptstadt des Deutschen Ritters(Deutsche Orden), der Sitz der großen Herren des Deutschen Ordens und in den Jahren 1457-1772 die Residenz der Könige von Polen. Eine gründliche, langsame Tour durch alle Ecken und Winkel kann bis zu 5 Stunden dauern. Es ist ein einzigartiger Ort voller Geschichten, die in dieser kurzen Liste nicht zusammengefasst werden können. Es würde auch keinen Sinn machen, da dieses Schloss ein Ort ist, an dem wir seine Geschichte erlebe k können, nicht nur etwas darüber lernen können. Im Jahr 1997 wurde es in die Liste des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen. Dieser einzigartige Ort ist in Hinsicht auf seine Flache, das größte Schloss der Welt. Im Jahr 2007 wurde es als eines der sieben Wunder Polens anerkannt.

Ich werde Sie nicht zu einem Spaziergang durch dieses Schloss mitnehmen, da ich glaube, dass ein Führer oder Audioguide (der beim Betreten des Schlosses obligatorisch ist) es viel besser und interessanter machen wird als ich. Außer den wichtigsten Elementen des Schlosses, die zum Beispiel auf allen von diesen Fotos nicht zu übersehen sind, möchte ich es prüfen, ob Sie auf die Details und Motive von Tieren, Bestie und Dämonen achten, die perfekt zum gotischen Stil dieses Ortes passen.

Das Schloss ist zu bestimmten Zeiten geöffnet – das kann je nach der Jahreszeit sich ändern. Der Eintritt in das Schloss ist gebührenpflichtig. Detaillierte Informationen kann man auf der Internet Seite des Schlosses finden. Um die Mindestaufgabe zu erfüllen, reicht die grüne Route (Kosten 30 PLN) aus, es wird jedoch die vollständige historische Route empfohlen. Montags kostet der Schlosseintritt nur 10 PLN(es sind nur die Kosten des Reiseführers), aber dann ist die historische Route nicht vollständig verfügbar.
