Este monumento suscita vários interesses: desde logo militar, mas também um natural interesse arquitetónico e, com maior incidência,constitui hoje a centralidade de um acervo que congrega os mais significativos momentos da história de Angola e dos Portugueses desde a sua chegada a esta terra em 1575.
Regardless of its military importance and also architectural interest, this monument has a variety of issues that brings together the most significant moments in the history of Angola and also of the history of the Portuguese since their arrival to this land in 1575.

As coordenadas inicias colocam-te perante a imponente estátua da Rainha Ginga. Rainha de facto: nobre, altiva e guerreira e que liderou a resistência contra a invasão Portuguesa. É por este motivo uma figura de referência na história de Angola.
The inicial coordinates put you before the mighty statue of Queen Ginga. Queen indeed she was: noble, haughty and a warrior. She led the resistance against the Portuguese and for this reason is a reference in the history of Angola.
No ponto 1 deverás publicar uma foto, tendo em atenção as recomendações acima referidas, onde esteja visível a estátua da Rainha Ginga.
In stage 1 you must publish a photo, taking into account the recomendations above, where the statue of Queen Ginga is visible.
No ponto 2, já depois de acederes ao interior da fortaleza, procura e fotografa a estátua do Governador Paulo Dias de Novais que aqui chegou em 1575 com a incumbência de construir um forte aproveitando a posição avantajada no morro de Luanda.
In the 2nd stage, after acessing the interior of the fortress, look and photograph the statue of the Portuguese Governor Paulo Dias de Novais, who arrived here in 1575. Among others he received instructions to built a fortress in this exact location taking advantage of the privileged location at the top of the hill of Luanda.
No ponto 3, procura o acesso que te conduzirá ao local mais alto da fortaleza. A escadaria final dá acesso a um amplo pátio onde permanecem algumas preservadas canhoeiras. Neste local, além de apreciares a magnífica vista sobre a Baia de Luanda, deverás publicar uma foto(não esqueças os procedimentos)que exiba a enorme bandeira de Angola que, bem no topo do seu gigantesco mastro, domina toda a estrutura.
In stage 3, look for the access that will lead you to the highest place of the fortress. The final stairs gives acess to a large squared patio where some preserved cannons remain. Besides the pleasure that you will experience due to the magnificent landsacope over the Luanda bay you ought to take and publish a photograph (do not forget the procedures) where the flag of Angola is visible, proudly waiving at the top of its enormous mast.
