Jelenia Góra, situated picturesquely in the valleys of the Bóbr and Kamienna rivers, boasts a very interesting Market Square. The Market is beautifully developed, well maintained and restored. The symbol of the deer is omnipresent here, appearing in the city's coat of arms. Many of these symbols can be seen on tenement houses and even on the Town Hall. Charming, colorful tenement houses with architecturally interesting arcades are historic monuments, in addition, they are beautifully maintained. An interesting feature on the Market Square in Jelenia Góra is also a historic tram hiding Tourist Information.
The Town Hall
In the central point of the Market Square, as befits a city with 900 years of tradition, stands the Town Hall, which actually consists of two buildings connected by an interesting superstructure. In the oldest part of the Town Hall building there is a beautiful hall of the Registry Office. At the southern wall of the Town Hall, there is a deer bust with large, massive deer horns.
