Y:et är en skulptur i kolossalformat av Bengt Lindström.
Den står i Timrå kommun invid E4. Monumentet invigdes den 3 september 1995 och föreställer bokstaven Y, vilket är länsbokstaven för Västernorrlands län.
Ursprungligen var Y:et tänkt att stå vid E14 i Östersund som en symbolisk port till fjällvärlden. En figur med uppåtsträckta armar, en hälsning till Norden och i samernas färger som ingick i Bengts naturliga palett.
Bengt Lindström, som var en svensk målare och grafiker, föddes den 3 september 1925 och Y:et invigdes alltså på hans 70-årsdag. Bengt var känd för sina målningar med kraftiga penseldrag i breda stråk, ofta målandes groteska gestalter med stark utstrålning och i grälla färger.
Y:et har varit avstängt en tid men kommer att återinvigas i samband med nationaldagen 2020.
Området är en uppskattad rastplats där många stannar och tar en fika och bensträckare på sin resa.

The Y is a colossal-sized sculpture by Bengt Lindström.
It is located in Timrå municipality near the E4 and the AirPort. The monument was inaugurated on September 3, 1995 and represents the letter Y, which is the county letter for Västernorrland County.
Originally, the Y was meant to be located along the E14 in Östersund as a symbolic gateway to the mountains. A figure with raised arms, a greeting to the North and in the Sami colors that were part of Bengt's natural palette.
Bengt Lindström, who was a Swedish painter and graphic artist, was born on September 3, 1925 and the Y was thus inaugurated on his 70th birthday. Bengt was known for paintings with bold broad brush strokes, often painting grotesque figures with strong radiance and in bright colors.
The Y has been closed to the public for some time but will be reopened in connection to the Swedish national day 2020.
The area is an appreciated resting place where many people stop and take a coffee and leg stretch on their journey.

You can choose between posing in front of the Y with raised arms as a Y according to the attached photo example or if you do not want to be included in the picture, you can take a picture of the Y holding a note with your geocaching nick and today's date as in the other example.
