Hi, I’m Polyhymnia, nymph of sacred music and nature. That is me on the right, with the purple rinse.
Many of the musical instruments were invented by me but i'm not responsible for 'Electric guitars', that was Prefab Sprout.
My inspiration was always from nature. The sounds of a terrific thunderstorm... the crashing of waves on the beach.... the magnificent melodies created by the birds of the sky.... It was an open goal. I used to leave seed out for the birds, to entice them close and soon I gained their trust. They would fly to me in the trees on Mount Parnassus and we'd make sweet music together.
I had a dream that we were rockstars. We were song birds, we were greek gods, We were singled out by fate... . We were quoted out of context; we were great... Every detail of the dream I had came true.
We nymphs don't think much of vowels, so hymns are always our favourite music.
