Giant Mine carried out exploration work looking for gold in this area and in the summer of 1985 started a decline and ramp development underground. The writer worked here in the summer and fall of 1985 constructing a generator shed, vent plant and underground scoop shop. The generator shed has since been torn down and although the vent plant has been fenced and cemented over, it is still there. The operation ran until late 1988 producing a total of 8,632 oz of gold from three levels totaling 5,994 feet of development.
Cache is located on the road side of the signage so no need to go past the signs to find the cache.
