Its the longest day of the year so where better to see the sunrise at 4.43am than the highest mountain in Ulster & Northern Ireland
Meeting at Bloody bridge carpark at 1.45 am (Thursday night- Friday morning) giving us 2½ hours to make it up the path to the summit at 853 metres high. It will be in the dark/twilight. I think 2½ hours should be enough for most able bodied people to get there, we'll not rush, it won't be a race.
Your more than welcome to bring muggle friends, go up by a different route or camp at the summit the night before, just post a note on this page so everyone knows what your plans are. The event will take place from 4.15 am (start time) to 4.45am (End time)
Be prepared to get wet, cold and probably strong winds, bring some form of torchlight, some basic First Aid, sticky plasters etc
Bring ur own nurishment & refreshments, if you need help carring anything ASK for help
My plan is to return by the same path as I have work but your more than welcome to stay up here longer or go for a walk in another direction afterwards.
Everyone who makes it to the summit for the appointed time will get joint FTF
Terrain of 5 because the walk is in the dark with slippery paths & altitude gain
