Geocache Description:

The town of Middleburg was established in 1787 and aptly named because it is the halfway point between the port of Alexandria and Winchester along the Ashby Gap trading route (now known as 50). This quaint town features food and shopping in the heart of virginia horse and wine country as well as a bit of foxhunting and steeplechasing. There is public parking along the streets and there are signs for a public parking area off of the main road running through town. I thought this would be a great cache to place so others could explore Middleburg and what it has to offer.

This cache was hidden without a pen included as a play on all those cachers who "forgot a pen". As such, please bring your own pen and please use stealth in retrieving and rehiding it. Just a warning, your feet may get wet depending on water levels. Happy caching!

I'm increasing the difficulty to 3.5 stars due to a few cachers not having luck finding this. Happy caching!

Congrats to Thompsonkickers for FTF! May you have many more!
