Geocache Description:

You CANNOT access this cache from Hester Ave - please don't pull over there! Parking and Trailhead waypoints are provided.

We couldn't help but notice the lack of caches on this part of the Yaberoo Budjarra Heritage Trail, and have decided to (hopefully) fill in some of the gap. This trail is a beautiful walk, and we hope placing new caches here encourages others to visit the area!

When the freeway was extended and Hester Ave was upgraded, an underpass was built here so that the trail could pass through. It seems like it is mostly used my masochistic bicyclists, apparently on their way from Yanchep to Joondalup and back again. But sometimes, probably late at night, amateur artists use the concrete walls to display their works. Feel free to share a photo of the current exhibit in your log. We like the rocket ship with fuzzy boosters.

We had started to wonder why we hadn't come across any caches in underpasses and after recently scouting out a few as possible cache locations, we discovered why. Not only are they a bit creepy, they also don't tend to have any good nooks and crannies for tucking away a bison tube or mint tin. That's why we have hidden this cache outside the northern entrance. We are also trying to get a bit more creative with our hides. We hope you like the camo.
