This cache is placed in the Plummer's Ridge Hiking Trails. There is a trailhead parking area along Route 125 in Milton just of the main road. The trails are well marked and there was a supply of trail maps at the kiosk when I was there.
This cache will bring you to one of those wonderful places that I call Heaven on Earth. It's a little bit of a hike but well worth it for the view of the river and distant hills. You are likely to see some wildlife or at least signs of wildlife on your journey. I counted at least 6 different species of birds on the river and did spy some deer or moose tracks along the way. It's a good place to bring your binoculars. The trail guide shows a bench or picnic table at this location but I couldn't find it. No worries. A blanket should be all you need to create your own picnic area.
You are looking for a preform tube well hidden in an evergreen. Hunting is allowed so make sure to wear orange during hunting season.
It would be much appreciated if you do not copy and paste the same log for your day of caching.
As always when Geocaching, have fun, be safe and leave no trace.
Congratulations to granithead for FTF!
