So there was a geocache hidden on the back fence of this garden, one of our first DNFs when we took up Geocaching a couple years ago. Anway we have periodically checked to find this cache but still come up empty and had given up, especially as it become really overgrown and trashy back there. Then last month Leatherboot Mom got a plot at this garden and we didn't see the old cache listed anymore so we decided to design one to fit here. Turns out this is a really cool community re-use project where, as we understand it, an old gas station called Big Daddy's sold out to a billboard company, and nothing was being done with the land, so some folks got together and got permission from the billboard company to put in a community garden here. One of the originators is an artist and you can see many examples of her welded metal artwork throughout the garden. The cache is accessible from the sidewalk and is placed with permission of the garden coordinator. Please replace so it is completely back out of sight after you find and sign it. Area can be sketchy, so advise daytime hunting.
