già Ciclovia della Valle Brembana - Dedicata a Felice Gimondi nel 2019
Il progetto di ampliamento della ciclovia della Valle Brembana vi permettere di partire da Bergamo e giungere sino a Piazza Brembana.
L'opera è possibile attraverso il recupero di gran parte dell'ex sedime ferroviario che collegava dal 1906 al 1966 collegava l'Alta Valle con il centro città.
Sul percorso infatti i ponti, le gallerie le opere ingegneristiche varie erano di uso esclusivo alla rete ferroviaria.
A binario unico, con scartamento ordinario, elettrificata, ha garantito per 60 anni il trasporto di merci e persone.
Tra le opere che si possono ammirare ci sono le Gallerie.
All'ingresso di ogni galleria c'è riportata la data di esecuzione. Quindi risaldendo il percorso ci si può rendere conto della cronostoria della sua costruzione.
La galleria dei Ponti di Sedrina ha una sua storia particolare.
Nell'entrata opposta a questa c'era una abitazione. Proprietaria era una famiglia del "casato" dei Pellegrini "Fic"
Uno dei suoi componenti, non si sa per quale motivo, non possedeva la licenza di caccia nonostante la sua passione per la venatoria.
All’inizio del ‘900 arrivò l’occasione che gli avrebbe consentito di conseguire l’agognato documento.
I mandatari della società che costruì la nascente ferrovia elettrica della valle Brembana chiesero alla famiglia il permesso di passare attraverso la loro casa con i binari. Se la domanda poteva sembrare bizzarra la risposta lo è ancor di più.
La famiglia acconsentì a farsi attraversare la casa dal treno in cambio della licenza di caccia per il loro congiunto…
