"The best way to die is sit under a tree, eat lots of bologna and salami, drink a case of beer, then blow up." - Art Donovan
Today's Woodbridge event happens to fall on National Salami Day. This National Day is observed annually on September 7th. Salami is a cured, fermented and air-dried sausage that is enjoyed by many people every day. Salami was historically popular among Southern European peasants because it can be stored at room temperatures for up to 30 to 40 days once it has been cut. Though not required, to celebrate National Salami Day just show up smelling like salami.
This month's event will be held on the 1st Saturday of the month and as always we will meet in the upstairs eating area of Wegmans. This place has plenty of food to choose from downstairs, but you do not have to purchase anything to attend this event. Please do not bring any outside food into the store that you intend to consume on the premises.
If you feel like hanging out with some laid-back geo-friends I hope that you'll be able to join us for a bit and chat. All are welcome; whether you are a first timer or a regular. Don't worry if you can't stay stay the whole time, won't be able to make it until later in the event, or you are just popping in for a few minutes to say "hi!" It's all good at the WM&G!
