Geocache Description:


The Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail) (click) is a cross-Canada system of greenways, waterways, and roadways that stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic oceans. The trail extends over 24,000 kilometres (15,000 miles); it is now the longest recreational, multi-use trail network in the world.

These caches are placed in cooperation with the Oxford Area Trails Association (OATA); permission has been granted by local landowners along the route. All caches are small, winter friendly, and less the 15m off-trail. The trail is designated multi-use (restricted to hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, biking, snowmobile & ATV) — no cars/trucks (unless noted otherwise in the attributes) — please comply so as not to jeopardize future placements.
