Our group of 8 evening hikers (plus Maple) decided to use the beautiful weather to hike the trail, picking up a new mystery cache and checking up on an old one at while we were at it. Passing over a small false summit, we thought this a good place to deposit a small cylindrical container. Also a good place to rest for a minute before the last push to the top. A great hike if one has a couple of hours after supper and before dark in June or July.
The cache was recently replaced; the old one was chewed by one or more wild critters. The new container is a green preform.
