Warmer/Colder Mystery Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

AZRedrock: I've noticed that this cache has one or more issues which really do need to be addressed by the cache owner.

The guidelines state that periodic visits to check on a cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the cache owners responsibilities. Only an OWNER MAINTENANCE log will clear the OWNER ATTENTION REQUESTED attribute. If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to Disable it- I have Disabled it for you this time.

Please respond to this situation (or indicate your intention) within 30 days, so others know exactly what is happening with this cache.

You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:

  • Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an Owner Maintenance log indicating the cache has been checked and ENABLE your cache. Then sit back and wait for the praises.
  • If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 15 days). Be sure to indicate when you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues, please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
  • If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to Adopt it or alternatively, you need to Archive it, so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email unless you feel you must, but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache and the cache is not at the posted coordinates.

This puzzle cache was inspired by WakeboardLanier's Warmer/Colder cache in North Georgia. While living in Georgia, we had the opportunity to find more of WakeboardLanier's caches and met him at a few Geocachers Around North Georgia (GANG) events.  Unfortunately, WakeboardLanier lost his battle to brain cancer a few years ago.  We decided to bring his brilliant mind to Northern Arizona by recreating his puzzle cache.

When we are out finding caches, there are a few keys words that we like to say.

  • "Did you have a pen?" - The person who does not have a pen tends to ask this
  • "I shouldn't have worn flip-flops/sandals" - Regretting our footwear because of the terrain
  • "Where do we park?" - When you have a cache in mind but have no idea how to access it
  • "Peanut Butter!" - We use this phrase instead of "Found it" so muggles don't ask what we found
  • "You're Warm, You're Cold" - When one of us has found the cache but wants to play warmer/colder with the other

This puzzle is a twist to the Warmer/Colder.  You will use this site to play Warmer/Colder with the interactive map. The final coordinates from the game will get you within 5m of the cache.

The container is a .30 cal ammo can.
You'll enjoy a short walk from nearby parking. We recommend close-toed shoes.

Please leave no trace of your visit to this cache.

Hope you enjoy this cache!
