We came across this distinctive rusty-red/rose coloured rock on our travels after visiting Rowley, and thought it was quite interesting. We weren't 100% sure, but it appears to perhaps be a glacial erratic. If you look closely at it in certain spots it does indeed bear the "pink quartzite" colouration that is a hallmark of the glacial erratics of Alberta. Nonetheless, the colour and shape are certainly striking, and it's an interesting landmark along this picturesque road!
