This cache replaces a similar one that replaced a hurricane damaged one placed a feet away from here where Kizer proposed to the girl that became his wife. This cache container is available all hours of the day and night but be aware that area security precautions and procedures may cause later regrets and inconveniences if discretion is not used.
Like a lot of people this Duck is crazy about Duck, home to some great people who are passionate about the town and the growing number of quality Geocaches. This cache is out in the open and should be a quick snag although you may have to think about it or wait for an assortment of Muggles to clear the area.
Duck is the northernmost North Carolina town in Dare County. It is one of the most popular resort destinations on the east coast of the United States. Incorporated on May 1, 2002, Duck is also known for outdoor recreational activities, summer events and concerts, watersports, fine dining, world class shopping, art galleries, and a nationally-known jazz festival. Sunsets are a good time to search for this cache because the sun setting on the sound is beautiful. You will be in a downtown business area so be alert for Muggles at virtually all hours.
