We've come across Little Free Libraries in a number of countries and always enjoyed finding some new book for us or the Jr Hippos to read and this gave Mrs Hippo the idea to have me build one for us. It took a while to scrounge the materials together (I was trying to do this as a green build, using reclaimed materials) but it finally came together. It's been named for our geohound Sam who passed away a little while ago as we knew he'd enjoy people watching and barking at them (hoping they'd come up to pet him but not realizing how huge and intimidating he could look!). Hope you enjoy this library as much as he would have and how much the kids in the neighbourhood are already.
