This cache is hidden near the railway tracks which Boissevain was built around. The railway is the origin of Boissevain.
Boissevain was built along the CPR, with the company deciding on the townsite of Boissevain in 1885. By the year 1886, there was already a blacksmith shop, a post office and two grain warehouses. The town was then named in honour of a Dutch financier, Adolf Boissevain who made CPR shares available to purchase in Europe.
The cache is a small lock 'n lock container. It contains a logbook and pen.
