Geocache Description:

13 July 2019, 13:00 - 16:00

Natural Area Preservation Private Workday at Fursetnberg Nature Area!

Sorry for the late notice.

There will be a couple of event caches.

Please meet up in the parking lot at the posted coordinates. The parking lost is off of Fuller Road across from Huron highschool. We will assemble there and then disperse. We will be doing various things around the park to facilitate the preservation of Ann Arbor's beautiful nature area.

Please bring gardening gloves, appropriate clothes, water, and enthusiasm! It may be hot outside. I will bring water bottles, and a couple extra pairs of gardening gloves.

Here is the waiver NAP requires you to sign.  https://www.a2gov.org/departments/Parks-Recreation/NAP/Documents/field%20operations_nap_Volunteer%20Release%20and%20Waiver%20of%20Liability%20FINAL.pdf

I will bring extra waivers. Please arrive 5 minutes early if you still need to sign the waiver to not take away from the volunteering time.

With the help of NAP we will deal with anything that they need us to do on this Saturday afternoon. Furstenberg is a beautiful nature area that borders the Huron River. The work will involve the removal of invasive species (long pants, closed toed shoes etc). There aren't many CITO's in Ann Arbor this summer so why not add one? There are multiple geocaches within Furstenberg, and in the surrounding area. Lime disease has been transmitted in Washtenaw County. Please put on bug spray.
