Placed in honor of Hazel Achison 1894-1898 who is buried in the Gold Rush Cemetary further down the road. She was the first to die in the meningitis epidemic of 1898 in Skagway of a disease that is now easily prevented by immunizations that most of us take for granted.
The Cache container is in a medium sized screwtop container containing a logbook and pen. Room for several travel bugs and other trinkets.
Cache site is within view of the scenic railway tracks, a ride on which I highly recommend. Thanks to Shai-N-Co for their help in maintaing local geocaches when necessary.
