About the Annaplis Royal Lighthouse
This historic lighthouse was built in 1889 on the edge of St. George Street on the site of the old Government House. Located on the main street of Annapolis Royal it still serves as a functioning lighthouse. The lighthouse stands at 28 feet tall facing the Annapolis River. Sailing used to occur further up the Annapolis River, but is now unable due to the causeway.
