Geocache Description:

This cache leads you to a very cool  location - the abonded Yellow Creek Mine!  Cache itself is not in the mine, but just beyond the mine entrance.  An Ammo can placed between a rock wall and a young cedar tree, covered in bark.

This old tunnel was built as an exploration tunnel for gold mining, completed in March 1989.  Obviously not enough gold was found here or this would still be active.  Regardless of gold or no gold, this is a pretty awesome site to be seen!

Cross ditches are about the only issue getting here,  a high clearance or 4 x4 are recommended.  Take the Yellow Main off of Cameron Main, then the first road on your right, the Yellow Main 100 will be the road that leads you here.

Happy exploring and caching!
