Geocache Description:

Welcome (back?) to the Deadman's Bay Path.  After placing 8 caches in May 2019, and ScoutrP placing two more here afterward, we return to the "scene of the crime" to continue the series for a total of 17 caches, to take you to Freshwater Bay and Gunner's Cove.

If you do not wish to start at Fort Amherst for these "new" caches in the series, you can go to Shea Heights instead, with the listed parking location which is used by hikers and mountain bikers regularly.  (See the waypoints.)  From there an established gravel path becomes an established traditional trail, and on this day in June 2019, afforded a series of rare lady slippers in full bloom:

As you follow your nose on this traditional trail you will meet up with the East Coast Trail at "Sandy Bottom" pond.

This seemed like an appropriate place for the first of the new caches.  The cache is a 500mL camo'd screw top container, with the usual swag and a TB upon initial hide.
