Geocache Description:

This walk skirts the northern shore and flood defences of Strangford Lough and is a real favourite of ours. As well as stunning views over the Lough and up towards Scrabo, it also offers uninterupted views of Ards airport with one part of the walk signed "at your own risk" such is its closeness to the end of the runway! The airport is a flurry of activity of small aircraft and helicopters so plenty to keep you interested.

As if this wasn`t enough the route is also dotted with remnants of Pillboxes and Air Raid Shelters that date back to the 2nd world war.

This cache is the 3rd of 3 as you walk fom the Portaferry to Comber Roads.

Parking is available at the start of the walk on the Portaferry road.
