You're almost through the sea of stumps now, and should be getting some pretty nice views. Hopefully you downloaded a new OSM map and have been able to follow the switchbacking of the trail. You could have gotten here from the road of course, but then you would have missed a great little trail that is so much more fun than the old gravel road.
The cache is under a rock, under a rock on top of a stump on the S side of the trail.
