Welcome to the Knox County Park District GeoTrail
Indianfield Bluffs is located at 10855 Sapp Road, Howard. The trail begins at the Park Kiosk, walk to the split rail fence, turn left and follow along the field to the woodland trail. We hope you enjoy searching for our Park Cache as this is just one of the (2) Parks on our mini GeoTrail. Indianfield Bluffs park is 25.5-acre park. The site contains the confluence of Indianfield Run with the Kokosing State Scenic River. A high bluff on the property renders awesome views of the Kokosing River, particularly during the late fall through early spring when the deciduous woods are leafless. Indian Fields were areas cleared by Native Americans to grow corn and other crops.. This site features a picnic table and charcoal grill. No restrooms are available. This cache requires hiking which may be a little strenuous for some, boots with traction are encouraged. Definitely not suited for flip flops or open toed shoes. Even though our Parks are open 24 hours we highly suggest you do not night cache in any of them.
