Caches are placed at a location which has usually some special interest, beauty or a favourite place previously visited.
Roadside caches, not always a favourite, and quite commonly used for speed (Cache and Dash (C&D)), normally have limited options.
This series of caches are primarily for the newbies. Having to walk too far can be problematic with young ones and finding only the basic plastic containers, not too much fun!
RECYCLED SNEAKY
There are a vast number of geocache containers available to buy from large containers (Wooden Boxes/crates, plastic/metal drums etc) to tiny Nano caches. However not everyone can afford to do this, especially if you are one of our young up and coming Geocachers.
You DO NOT have to spend a penny!
Just look around your home for containers, about to be thrown out. All you have to do is clean thoroughly and ensure SAFE for fellow Geocachers, the environment and wildlife.
All geocache containers should be as weatherproof and waterproof as possible, but it's still a good idea to protect the contents in a Zip-loc baggie in Morayshire.
Recycled containers usually aren't as durable as commercial cache containers, so they'll probably need to be replaced more often.
Please remember to bring TWEEZERS and something to write with. Thanks
