This cache is on a SEASONAL ROAD. In the winter it is not plowed. In the summer it is almost always muddy and full of ruts. The is why I am marking the Terrain 3.5 In the winter it is accessible by cross county skis, snow shoes, 4x4 etc.
This is my first gadget cache. It’s a play on a couple of other gadget caches I’ve come across. You will need to provide your own TOTT and writing tool. It’s a simple cache if you have the right tool.
It will take some cachers a while to figure out how to get the cache, others will make quick work of it. There is no need to take any screws out so please do not! Because it is a gadget cache, I'm marking it a difficulty of 3 as it requires a specific tool.
This is a tribute cache to Basswoodbend. Basswoodbend started caching out of Traverse City. They are the ones who first introduced us to geocaching back in 2004 at a family reunion. I was interested then, but too busy with work and a family. I always loved hearing about their adventures on the trail after one cache or another. I’ll always have them to blame for my tardiness.
Once you have retrieved the cache there is a notch in the front to hold the cache while you sign the log. Otherwise you will have more work ahead of you.
