At the Railway Commission hearing in 1902, three settlers, Messrs Leckie, Byrne and Harvey, gave evidence to show that a railway was vital to developing the area. They are commemorated by having streets named after them in the town area adjactent to the golf course. Now no longer operational, but you can press the button and hear the train rolling into town.
