This cache is on top of the second highest point on clare island.
Local information: taxi service available by phoning andrew, pick up his number at the pier. access to island by ferry only. changable weather. shop is at N53 47.573' / W009 59.284'.
Altitude: 642 ft
Terrain: steep hill
General difficulty: not for the elderly or very young (my 8yr old sister made it up)
Granuaile O'malley, known as grace by the english, was a heartless pirate, roaming the irish coast around Clare island and clewe bay, with many castles including rockfleet and the castle on clare island.
This cache is in a pirate theme...

points 7-8 are boggy but are still the best route

You can follow these to get onto the open access common land that makes up the top / north side of the hill.
P.S. BLUEWORM97 just reminded me that you need to get the ferry from ronagh point to clare island... kind of key point to forget...
