Summary: Minimum 4 mile hike; no significant bushwhacking; ammo can; just off trail; nearby picnic area.
Meowdoc and I love this area - we come hiking here on special occasions - usually holidays - several times a year. We enjoy taking the red -> orange -> green -> red trail loop. It ends up being about 5 miles; however, you can take the red/green trail straight to the cache for about 4 miles round trip. This park has some steep sections off the trail, but in general, the trail is well defined and smooth.
When hiking to the cache, if you do the entire loop, pay attention to the different types of soil and rock you are walking on. I've always admired this particular park as having an extremely diverse variety (from smooth granite to sand to clay).
The container is less than 150 feet from the trail. When replacing the hide, be sure to snuggle it inside the bush limbs - I thought it would hold the container nicely during heavy rains (rather than tethering it to a tree).
Park hours are seven days a week from dawn until 30 minutes after sunset. No dogs or bicycles allowed.
