Geocache Description:

Located not far from beautiful downtown Weld, this cache has a view that is hard to beat. Cache is a camouflaged lock and lock container. Take something or leave something, but make sure you plan enough time to enjoy the magnificent view.

This is one of 6 Bald Mountains in Maine. This one is located in Weld on Rt. 156 just west of Mt. Blue State Park. The trail head is located at N 44° 39.513 W 070° 20.618. From there, you will immediately cross Wilson Stream and will start a climb that will challenge your legs a bit, (approx. 1100' elevation change to the cache). It is about an hour hike up the mountain but the view from the summit is breathtaking. The cache is at 2091' with the summit being a bit higher. From the top you will find a 360 degree view that reaches for miles. Enjoy! - SteveL73
