A nearby cache was recently archived, opening up this space for a new one. This cache, located along the Mathew McGee Nature Trail behind the Coastal Interpretive Center in Ocean Shores, has room for small trade items and trackables. It is not your typical hide. Surrounding area may become flooded after several days of heavy rain.
While you're in the area, don't miss the opportuniity to visit the Center which highlilghts the local history and environment and has some amazing displays for such a small "museum". The Interpretive Center was completely remodeled inside during the Covid19 shutdownt and is now open 7 days a week between Memorial Day and Labor Day, then on weekends only for the remainder of the year; the hours are always 10am to 4pm.
Please:
1) do not search for this cache at night.
2) make certain the cache is reattached securely before leaving
Volunteers in the Interpretive Center are aware the cache exists, but do not know its location.
