Geocache Description:


Keurkloof dam wall.
Jors Malan and Pomie Rautenbach built the dam in aproximately 1937.
A canal was built to take the water to Patensie and beyond for irigation purposes.
I have a lot of fond memories of swimming at the dam as kid.
Even though it is almost filled to the top with sand the dam still suplies water for irrigation to this day.
